Celebrations At Gokul.  Part-10 Gokul was a small town and Nanda Dev was the head of the Gopa tribe. Every one felt the joy of being happy and cheerful under his reign. Vasudev left his beloved son under the care  of his bosom friend and carried back the baby girl  born to them as per the Oracles instructions. It was a bright sunny day. The birds, cows, peacocks, blosming flowers  rejoiced at the birth  of a son  to Yashoda and Nanda Dev. The cowherds, milkmaids  danced in ecstasy  as soon as they heard the wonderful news and the celebration that was planned ahead. All the inhabitants of Gokul were invited and each one were greeted with warmth and they felt so "special" Yashoda and Nanda Dev  couldn't contain their immense joy. They cajoled  and hugged their beloved son. They couldnt take their eyes of Him. Through the Lords Maya they never knew that He was Vasudev and Devaki's son. King Kans visits the Prison. -PART -8 As  soon as King Kans heard the birth of Devaki's eigth child he was sure his days were numbered and couldnt believe the truth of the Oracle's prophecy. He was threatened and couldnt think with reason  as his mind was all in a whirl. He entered the prison with rage.  He asked Devaki "Where is my nephew who will be the cause of my end"? He heard Devaki sob. She begged him to spare the life of the baby girl as she was no threat to his life as the prophecy now was knull and void. Kans gave  a loud roar of laughter. Now he was over joyed. His fears just simply vanished in thin air. He once again felt mighty and powerful. He completely ignored her plea and with all his pride intact he lifted the baby girl to smash her head against the prison walls. Kans was taken aback. The Journey -Mathura to Gokul.  PART- 7 Nature was not in harmony.  They could not bear to see the Lord born  in prison and soon after be separated from His  parents with out even being cuddled or even held Him close to share the warmth. Torrential rains disrupted the passage to cross the Yamuna river. The embankments swelled and overflowed, the waves rolled higher and higher and the loud thunder and flashes of lightening threatened Vasudev all the more and he felt helpless yet he gathered all the courage left to reach Gokul inspite of the spate of  fury. At a distance he spotted a huge black snake coming towards him in great haste.  The snake was none other than"Anant Sesha"later  who was born as Lords elder brother.  Lord Balram.  The snake spread its hood like an umbrella and shielded the  Lord and him . The Birth of Lord Krishna. -PART-6 The impending prophecy of the Oracle drew near. Devaki and Vasudev were in a whirl not knowing how they could save the babe from the wrath of the merciless king Kans. At the stroke of midnight when  everything was quiet and still Devaki could not handle the agony of yet another separation after nine long years of waiting. The first cry of the babe was loud and shrill in the silence of the night. The dark dingy prison was illuminated with a blinding light that appeared like thousands of Suns had risen altogether.
