POST_121_THE INDOMITABLE SPIRITED YASHODA.

(Lady clad in yellow  saree is Yashoda)
The BANKE BIHARI MANDIR_Virindavan.
This is an incredible and true story of Yashoda, that showcases her courage, devotion, selfless service and humility.
Yashoda was widowed at a very young age. She was barely twenty. She never experienced the beauty and colour of life nor fulfill her aspirations and dreams.
This, did not deter her from moving on. She had no family to support her,so she lived alone in Vrindavan.
Everyday early in the morning she would be seen at the entrance of the Holy Shrine "Banke Bihari Mandir".She took up a job that would sustain her meagre needs .
Till late in the evening she would guard the foot wear of the devotees ,who thronged the "temple " to have the darshan of Lord Shree Krishna. She is a great devotee of the Lord
She was happy and content with what ever she received from the devotees and always greeted them with an endearing smile.
One would be suprised  to know that in her forty years of selfless service she has saved around Fifty One Lakhs. This wealth did not entice her. She made up her mind to donate Forty Lakhs to build a "Dharmashala" for the devotees to provide shelter  for their stay  and a "Goshala"for the cows that were seen around the shrine.
Even to this day  she continues to tend to the cows with lot of love and care and so too with the devotees, who  visit the Shrine.
Most of us are under this belief that wealth is every thing  and nothing  else is more priceless and of greater value.
Yashoda 's story  is powerful in its simplicity and teaches us that meaning and fulfilment in  life  comes from "Service".
Being widowed  at the tender age of twenty did not deter the young soul.
She found meaning in an act ,which most of us  would not even consider worthy of our attention ,much less our consideration. She has clearly demonstrated by her acts of "Charity"that amassed wealth holds no meaning  if not  utilized for the greater good.
LORD KRISHNA OF Banke Bihari Mandir.
In the Bhagvath Gita Lord Krishna said ,"Aaham Bhakta  Paradeenaha"
The only wealth the Lord cherishes and which is close to HIS heart are HIS "true devotees"who believe in HIM with all their faith and trust which HE also reciprocates  towards them.
He blesses His Devotees with HIS "Infinite Grace ,Blessings and Always Protects them.
